Love this quote

In the last few years, we've stumbled...When you stumble a lot you tend to look at your feet. Now we have to make people lift their eyes back to the horizon and see the line of ancestors behind us saying, "Make my life have meaning," and to our inheritors before us saying, "create the world we will live in."
I'm going home in 11 days.

More good news from the NHC: There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time.

The 2005 Hurricane Season has officially ended with the dissipation of Hurricane Epsilon.

It is so good to hear your heading back home soon. Get away from the freezing temps to boot. Is the university your husband works at back to it's regular schedule?

Eek. I can't stand that kind of pressure. It's hard enough cleaning up after the ancestors.

A friend just got back from New Orleans where he was helping his friend rebuild a bike shop in a new location, but still in the city. Friend said things are gradually coming back to life. Restaurants had limited menus and limited hours, but many of them were not only open but packed. So at least there will be victuals when you get there.

P.S. I clicked my way here today by clicking on your name in a blog comment, and thus had the honor of becoming the 666th viewer of your blogger profile. Appropriate that it should be me!
